Very nice trail heading up McKee Peak to a rock bluff where Eagles fly beside you at eye level in front of the rock bluff.
Great place to sit and have a packed lunch. This whole area is frequented by many mountain bikers so stay alert!
Directions:
Take the Whatcom Rd. exit from Highway no.1 and head North on Whatcom raod up the hill to the very end at the top. Park your vehicle and strart up the trail at the end between the concrete barriers. You need to head to your right and up the hill to connect to the main trail called the "autobahn". Many mountain bikes on this trail.

Upsidenewest addition under the cliffs is Upper Ambidextrous. Beautiful, whether you ride it either direction or hike it. sitting under the cliffs ,you know why mtn bikers are good people for what they have created here. Hikers are welcome , bikes are not so quiet you need to worry. Room for everyone. Excellerator now has a new bypass on the dangerous Chute section, this welcome addition makes for being able to hike or bike by mortals ,who won't need to slide down it any more.
DownsideA bit of exposure and if your not fit, it maybe surprisingly tough. No need to worry as all trails and area's lead to houses. Lots felt Ledgeview was gone when the subdivisions started taking out trails like Berminator. Now SonOfBerminator replaced it and there are more trails than ever, better ones at that. Get out and explore this gem in the heart of Abbotsford, above the Ledgeview golf course.
CommentThe whole Southern side ,dries the quickest, after rain. Has the best views of Mt.Baker . Higher trails like Ambi dry the quickest. A bit of a maze but nothing to worry about ,enjoy the diversity. mr.g

UpsideLove climbing trails? A whole new selection has been made ,under the cliffs S side so one of the driest area's around when the legendary Ledgeview Poo is around(freezing warming cycles)
DownsideS. side made for small or mid size bikes, triple clamps, low seat height forget it,you will just suffer on the trails mentioned below.
CommentS. side cliffs go to the second lookout off the Buttuffuco and you will see the entrance. Behold the Xcellerator ,a steep exposed in places, climbing turns everywhere . If you are in poor shape and big efforts kill you ,this is not your trail . In shape and love to climb singletrack ,your here. Flintstones and Xcellerator share a junction just under the cliffs and if you hug the side of the slope your on Autobahn ,which exits onto Viccarro powerlines. (The new Whatcom road now cuts through this) near the exit of Autobahn a NEW trail go right and up you are now on the infamous due to the kicking it will give you. Lower Ambidextrous to Lazyboy, tools of the trade return to Flintstones. The soon to open Upper Ambidextrous has views which make you remember why you mtn bike. Riding under the cliffs ,under overhangs, over bridge after bridge and climbing steady this soon to open trail is a gem top marks. Hikers will totally fall in love with these trails due to the view and terrain already they are getting so much more hikers. Mr. G

UpsideLedgeview is home to so many trails, big boy stuff and beginner. Whether xc or dh or dj's is your game it's all here. Biggest and best djs RGC( road gap city) Tower at top of Ledgeview down . From the top down to the bottom the original trail " The Buttuffuco" you can see the cranks which the tree is slowly eating in the tree. Most trails go off the but, from the paper route to Mixed bag . Other new trails like the E. facing under the cliffs XCellarator come out on the junction below Flintstones to Autobahn.
DownsideMost of the trails are in private property, and the subdivisions are slowly creeping up to eat..... Lately bigger gap trails like DaPlow to 4letter word are getting a lot of attention. Some of the trails are starting to look like a bit of whistler bike park .
CommentRiders can ease the pressure on this excellent riding place so close to town, hard to get lost. pick up garbage where you see it. lots of other trails nearby, lost Oakleys/Taco. Great place to hook up with other riders on any sat/sun and you will be amazed at just how many trails . The washing machine junction 1/2way up has three excellent gappers to get a ease with. 1 flat landing to 2- small 6footer 3- biggest of this bunch is approx. 16ft. Going R. after these puts you onto LebiteMe Straight takes you into Berminator to Son of Berminator to exit onto Whatcom rd. lots of fun mr.g

Upsideyour local moutain biking trail. Great for weekends and late afternoon mountain biking. Not much rocks, all sand trails.
DownsideAbsolutely no grip with even the knobbiest tires when wet. A lot of pressure coming from sub-urban housing construction; some trails are already gone.
