This trail begins from Sasamat lake parking lot. The lake beach is very busy in summer season and you can enjoy a swim or picnic at the end of your hike.
You can find the entrance of Buntzen Ridge Trail right in the parking lot and it leads to the treed and uphill path. After about 1.2 km you will meet the conjunction with Sugar Mountain Trail and you can turn left to the View Point at the trail end.
When you back to the conjunction you can select another way which along with the power line to down hill to the park entrance and then back to the parking lot along with the lake loop trail.
Directions:
From Highway 7A turn Ioco Road just east of Port Moody and drive west, following signs for Belcarra. Turn right on 1st ave. then turn left onto Bedwell Bay Road, then go right for White Pine Beach Park. Park on the far northeast parking lot where the Buntzen Ridge Trail begins.
